34 Years in the Automotive Industry

Manukau Auto & Tyre Centre was started in 1986 by Nigel Stickland, doing mechanical repairs and car servicing, branching into tyres and mag wheels in 1988. Within a short time, we were the market leaders in wheels and tyre sales in Auckland.

As a qualified engineer by trade, Nigel soon recognised the need for specialist alloy wheel repairs and branched into that field in 1990. A full machine shop with specialist wheel repair equipment was set up in a separate workshop.

Through his extensive experience with Mag Wheel Sales and Mag Wheel Repairs Nigel became known as the Mag Wheel Guru.

In 2018; recognising that consumer habits were changing and many people prefer to do their shopping online, Manukau Auto & Tyre Centre launched an online tyre shop called Guru Tyres.
